Limpiar brochas puede ser tremendamente cansino. Si, como yo, tienes una colección bastante amplia, puedes perder media hora o más limpiándolas una a una, para luego pasar un día entero sin poder utilizarlas porque tienen que secarse. Eso es algo del pasado gracias a este producto, el cual limpia y seca las brochas en segundos.

Cleaning your brushes can be tremendously tiring. If, like me, you have a rather large collection, you can lose half an hour or more cleaning them, then spend a whole day not being able to use them as you have to wait for them to dry. That is something of the past thanks to this product, that cleans and dries the brushes in a matter of seconds.

El producto original, el StylPro Makeup Brush Cleaner and Dryer, cuesta 64,99$. Entre oferta y descuento, una versión parecida (y mucho más económica) de la página/aplicación Cute me salió por 9,50$ (8,63€) con gastos de envío incluidos aquí. El set contiene la “pistola”, un bol, 8 cuellos de distintos tamaños para agarrar las brochas, y una base donde colocarlos. Necesita dos pilas AAA.

The original product, the StylPro Makeup Brush and Dryer, retails for 64.99$. Thanks to offers and discounts, I got a similar (and much more economical) version from the website/app Cute  for 9.50$ (8.63€) here. The set contains the “gun”, a bowl, 8 necks of different sizes to grab the brushes, and a base to place them. The device needs two AAA batteries.

 

Como bien indican las instrucciones, es importante utilizar un limpiador de brochas en vez de jabón líquido normal, ya que las limpia en mayor profundidad. Como no todos los mangos de brochas son iguales, es imposible encontrar el adaptador “perfecto” en 8 opciones. Lo ideal es utilizar el cuello que más se ajuste a la brocha, de forma que no pueda salirse.

As the instructions indicates, it is important to use a liquid brush cleaner instead of normal liquid soap, as it cleans them in greater depth. Since brush handles aren’t always the same, it is impossible to find the “perfect” adapter in only 8 options. Ideally, use the neck that best fits the brush, so that it can’t get out.

Cómo utilizarlo | How to use this

Tras colocar la brocha en el adaptador de la pistola y haber llenado 1/4 parte del bol con jabón líquido especial para brochas, el siguiente paso es limpiarla:

After placing the brush on the gun adapter and filling 1/4 part of the bowl with the special liquid soap for brushes, the next step is to clean it:

 

Una vez dentro del bol, presionamos el botón de la pistola para que de vueltas a la brocha y se limpie. Es importante subir y bajar lentamente la brocha en el limpiadorpara que se limpie bien. Para secar la brocha, seguimos presionando el botón, pero esta vez lejos del agua (sin salir del bol, preferiblemente, ya que si no podemos ensuciarlo todo).

Once the brush is inside the bowl, press the button on top of the gun that makes it spin and thereby cleaning the brush completely. It is important to slowly raise and lower the brush on the liquid to clean it thoroughly. To dry the brush, continue pressing the button, but this time away from the water (preferably not stepping out of the bowl in the process, since that will create a mess).

Resultados / Results

Al comprar este producto, estaba muy escéptica por la posibilidad de que no solo no funcionara, sino que además estropeara mis brochas. Si esto ya me preocupaba del producto original, que encima fuese la “versión barata” no ayudaba mucho… pero, para mi sorpresa, este trasto funciona de maravilla. Ha acortado mis sesiones de limpieza de brochas un montón, y también me permite poder reutilizar las brochas en el mismo instante en el que las limpio. Es muy práctico, cumple exactamente con lo que promete, y por ahora no me ha dado ningún problema en las semanas que llevo utilizándolo. ¡Lo recomiendo enormemente!

When I bought this product, I was very skeptical about the possibility of it not only not working, but that it could actually spoil my brushes. If this was something that already scared me to death about the original product, the fact that this one is a “cheaper version” did not help at all… but, to my surprise, the device works perfectly. It has shortened my brush cleaning sessions a lot, and also allows me to be able to reuse the brushes in the very moment I clean them. It’s very practical, fulfills exactly what it promises, and for now, it hasn’t given me any problems in the few weeks that I’ve been using it. It’s a complete game-changer. I highly recommend it!
