Nunca pensé que este blog se volvería así de personal ya que nunca he creído que el contenido del tipo “lifestyle” sea lo mío. Pero, ya que he sido nominada para un Libster Award y tengo que compartir 11 cosas sobre mí… ¡aquí tenéis algunas cositas!

I never thought this blog would get personal since I’ve never really felt like “lifestyle” content is my thing. But, since I was nominated for a Liebster Award and I have to share 11 things about me, here’s my first 11 facts about myself for you to get to know me a little more!

1. Tengo 20 años y soy de Barcelona, España.

I’m 20 years old and I’m from Barcelona, Spain.

2. Estudio periodismo y mi aspiración es convertirme en editora de belleza. Mi plan es mudarme a Nueva York después de terminar mi carrera y trabajar en alguna revista de allí. Soñar es gratis, ¿verdad?

I study Journalism and my aspiration is to become a beauty editor! My plan is to move to New York after I finish my degree and to work for a magazine there. Dreaming is for free, right?

3. Mi película favorita de todos los tiempos es El Castillo Ambulante. ¡Las películas de Studio Ghibli son una de mis cosas favoritas en el mundo! Y, en cuanto a libros, Las ventajas de ser un marginado. Lo leí por primera vez cuando tenía 15 años, y no he vueto a encontrar un libro que tenga el mismo efecto en mí.

My all-time favorite movie is Howl’s Moving Castle. Studio Ghibli films are one of my favorite things in the world! When it comes to books my favorite would definitely be The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, though. I read it when I was 15 years old for the first time, and never any other book had the same effect on me.

4. Tengo una perrita llamada Lana que adoro más que nada en este mundo, aunque sea un trasto.

I have a dog called Lana that I love more than anything in this world, even if she can be a little monster sometimes.

¡Ahora está mucho más grande!

She’s a lot bigger now, though!

5. Mis series favoritas son Game of Thrones, Black Mirror o American Horror Story. En cuanto a programas de televisión, ¡RuPaul’s Drag Race! Vivo para ese programa, y de hecho estuve en el Werq The World Tour de Barcelona, que fue hace poco y fue increíble.

My favorite series is either Game of Thrones, Black Mirror or American Horror Story. When it comes to TV-Shows, my favorite is, without any doubt, RuPaul’s Drag Race! I live for this show, and I’ve actually been to a Werq The World Tour recently, which was incredible.

6. Adoro Japón; su cultura, su comida, su estilo, la belleza de sus paisajes… y prácticamente cualquier cosa relacionada con este país. ¡Viajar allí es una de mis prioridades en mi lista de deseos! Y ya que estamos, el sushi es una de mis comidas favoritas, si no la primero.

I love Japan, its culture, its food, its style, the beauty of its landscapes… and pretty much anything related to it. Travelling there is one of the top things on my bucket list! Incidentally, sushi is one of my favorite foods, if not the first. 

7. La verdad es que soy un poco friki. Me encantan los videojuegos y no me avergüenzo ni un poquito. Pero dado que apenas tengo tiempo libre, he tenido que dejar ese hobby a un lado. También disfruto de Star Wars, las películas y series de superhéroes más que el ser humano promedio, diría yo.

I might have to say that I am a little bit of a nerd, as I am completely addicted to video games and I’m so not ashamed of it. But I barely have free time anymore, so I’ve had to put that hobby aside. I also enjoy Star Wars, superhero movies and series more than the average human being, I’d say. 

8. Mi número favorito es 8. No sé por qué, pero cuando era pequeña me gustó lo alto que estaba en una escala del 1-10, y que era un número par. Por alguna razón, detesto los números impares y siempre trato de sentarme en los asientos pares, o dejar el volumen del televisor en un número par. Podría decirse que soy un poco supersticiosa.

My favorite number is 8. I don’t know why, but when I was a kid I simply loved how high on a scale of 1-10 it was, and the fact that it was an even number. For some reason, I hate odd numbers and I always try to sit in even-numbered seats, or even have the TV volume be an even number. You could say I’m a very superstitious person.

9. Mis colores favoritos son el lila y el borgoña, como ya habréis notado…

My favorite colors are purple and burgundy, as you might have noticed…

 

10. Cuando era pequeña, me encantaba encerrarme en el baño de mi madre y usar su maquillaje. Recuerdo que una vez me puse a probar una base de Estée Lauder super pesada; me cubrí toda la cara con ella y la esparcí con los dedos, supongo que pensando que la base se difuminaría y sellaría sola… y, para finalizar, traté de sellarlo todo con el bronceador Bronze Goddess en un tono oscuro. Parecía un Oompa Loompa… fue entonces cuando juré que nunca volvería a utilizar bases de maquillaje. Y aquí estamos.

When I was a kid, I loved hiding in my mother’s bathroom and using her makeup. I remember using an Estée Lauder foundation once and covering my whole face with it using my fingers, probably thinking the foundation would blend and set itself… and, to finish it off, I “set” the whole thing with a medium/deep Bronze Goddess bronzer. I looked like an Oompa Loompa… and I swore I’d never use foundation ever again. Here we are now.

11. La música que me gusta va de pop a metal, de instrumental a deathcore y de country a punk. Soy el tipo de persona que se enamora de la pasión y la letra detrás de una canción en lugar del género. Ir a conciertos es una de mis cosas favoritas en el mundo, y de hecho, ¡voy a ver a Of Mice & Men por segunda vez hoy!

My favorite music goes from pop to metal, instrumental to deathcore, and country to punk. I’m the kind of person who falls in love with the passion and the lyrics behind a song rather than the genre. Going to concerts is one of my favorite things in the world, and I’m actually going to be seeing Of Mice & Men for the second time today!
