¡Hola a todos! Después de varios días probando la famosísima base Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation de la marca Fenty Beauty (creada por Rihanna y disponible en Sephora), os traigo mi opinión sobre ella.

Hi everyone! After a few days of trying the new Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation by Fenty Beauty (created by Rihanna and available in Sephora), here’s my review on it.

El precio de esta base es de 32,90€ y está disponible en 40 tonos. Esto último es lo que le ha dado tanta fama, ya que son pocas las marcas que tienen una variedad de tonos tan amplia — y menos desde el principio. En este aspecto respeto mucho el esfuerzo que hay detrás y considero que más marcas tendrían que seguir esta dinámica. Desgraciadamente, no tengo la misma opinión sobre el producto en sí y la fórmula.

El packaging me ha gustado mucho, es sencillo y coherente con el resto de la colección. Por otro lado, me recuerda mucho al de los productos de KKW Beauty, creado por Kim Kardashian.

The price of this foundation is around 34$ depending on the country you’re from and it’s available in 40 shades. Which is what made it so famous, as there’s plenty of brands that don’t have such an expanded range — and this one’s doing it from the very beginning. In this aspect, I appreciate the work put into the creation of this product and I believe that others brands should follow her dynamics. My thoughts on the formula and wearability are quite different though.

I really liked the packaging; it’s simple and cohesive with the rest of the collection. On the other hand, it reminds me a little too much of Kim Kardashian West’s brand products (KKW Beauty).

Aplicación | Application

Una cosa de la que me he dado cuenta es que esta base se seca muy rápido en la piel. Eso puede ser algo bueno o malo, dependiendo de las preferencias de las personas. A pesar de que a mí me gustan este tipo de bases porque se matifican completamente y sin ayuda, no he conseguido que esta base me guste. La cosa es que al ser tan rápida, sellarla con polvos fijadores (los cuales ayudan a que no se noten tanto los poros o las líneas de expresión) no tiene ningún sentido. Y lo malo es que esta base se asienta en las arrugas y los poros y los hace aún más perceptibles.

He visto a otras personas hacer reviews sobre esta base y afirmar que para ellos fue como un milagro, pero no he visto el mismo tipo de resultado en mí, y tampoco creo que lo vaya a tener en gente con muchas arrugas.

One thing that I’ve noticed is that this foundation dries very fast on the skin. That can either be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your preferences. Despite liking foundations that behave this way, I couldn’t make this one work for me. The thing about it drying so fast is that you don’t have to set it with fixing powder, which ultimately helps to make the pores and fine lines not-so-noticeable. And this foundation basically sits on them and makes them even more perceptible.

I’ve seen other people review this foundation and claiming that it did work for them like a miracle, but it’s just not happening for me and I don’t think it will for people with many wrinkles either.

Cobertura | Coverage

La cobertura de esta base es muy modulable, ya que es una base líquida, pero es de cobertura media tirando a alta. Es más fácil de aplicar con esponja que con brocha. Otra cosa que no me ha gustado es que se oxida mucho, así que cuidado con el tono que escogéis. En la imagen a continuación tenéis cómo se ve una capa y cuánto necesité para toda la cara (presionando un par de veces fue más que suficiente).

The coverage of this foundation is very modulable as it’s a liquid foundation, but I find it to be more of a medium-full coverage. It’s easier to apply with a sponge rather than a brush. Another thing I didn’t like about it is that it oxidizes a lot, so be careful with the shade you choose. Here’s how one layer looked on me and how much I needed (a couple of pumps was more than enough):

Duración | Durability

He probado esta base durante todo un día sin retoques y he notado que si no usas prebase y, como yo, tienes la piel mixta tirando a grasa, va a desaparecer muy pronto. Así que el primer es muy necesario. En la foto se puede ver cómo se veía después de 6 horas + utilizando mi primer favorito, el BH Studio Pro Foundation Primer de BH Cosmetics.

I’ve tried this foundation for a whole day without touch-ups and I’ve noticed a couple of things. If you don’t use primer and, like me, have combination-oily skin, it’s going to disappear really soon. Therefore primer is a must.
