Hi guys! It’s been a while since I last reviewed a foundation. Actually, it’s been a while since I reviewed anything at all. But the Triple Wave Serum Foundation by Technic Cosmetics is slowly going viral, and I just couldn’t resist. I had to try it out.
I’m going to share everything about it, complete with photos from my 10-hour wear test!

What Makes Technic Cosmetics’ Triple Wave Serum Foundation Special?
The Triple Wave Serum Foundation by Technic Cosmetics stands out due to its vegan (and cruelty-free, as always on Flaw Decay) and lightweight formula, which provides luminous, hydrated skin with medium coverage. Honestly, I’m SO happy with it, and you’ll see why in my “cotton test” (not sure if that’s a Spanish saying only, but you can guess what it means… I think).
In recent years, I’ve noticed the brand has significantly improved the quality of its face products, becoming a strong competitor to much more expensive brands.
The “triple” in its name comes from the formula, enriched with three active ingredients that you’ll probably recognize if you frequent beauty communities or browse cosmetic stores: hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and vitamin E (don’t worry if you’re not familiar with them; I’ll explain them at the end of the post!).
My Experience

To give you some context, I have combination skin; it gets a bit oilier in the summer and drier in the winter. I’ve only tried the foundation in the summer, since it only recently came out, and despite adding extra hydration (a common fear for those of us with oily areas), its semi-matte finish helps keep shine under control. We all know how annoying it is to end the day with a face as shiny as a donut, right?
What I love most though, aside from its finish, is the coverage level, perfect for everyday use. It also evens out the skin tone and works wonderfully with setting powders to minimize/improve the appearance of pores and other small imperfections. The photos speak for themselves:

When it comes to application, the foundation blends perfectly with the skin, leaving a silky texture. Especially in summer, heavy foundations can be bothersome, but this one didn’t feel heavy until about 10 hours in.
I’m sure my favorite combo for setting the foundation (Technic’s Hydra Set & Blur powders and Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray Vitamin C) also helped a lot. But the foundation itself holds up pretty well throughout the day… don’t miss the durability test, and if you have questions about the ingredients, scroll to the end to get them answered!
MY RATING: 9/10

Durability Test – 10 Hours Without Touch-Ups
It’s time to show you the durability test, right? As always, the photos are unedited — no color or brightness corrections. The only editing done was to create collages of three images. I also didn’t touch up with any products at all.
As I mentioned, this foundation holds up well over time. The photos taken at 3 hours were after a walk outside in the sun (and a bit of sweating, to sum it up). Still, it looked great:
At 8 hours, it was still looking good. On my combination skin, I started to notice some shine in the T-zone, but nothing major. In fact, I really like the more “radiant” finish as it gives a natural and healthy glow.
At 10 hours, as I mentioned earlier, the foundation (and powders, other face products…) started to feel a bit heavy, so I ended the durability test there. Still, it could have lasted a few more hours!

The Actives: How Do Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, and Vitamin E Work?

You might have heard of them, you might already know them… or you might not know much or anything about them, especially in their “beauty” aspect. Don’t worry, that’s what I’m here for! How do the key actives in this product work? Let me explain it easily…
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid (listed as Sodium Hyaluronate) is one of the main actives in the Triple Wave Serum Foundation.
This ingredient can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, ensuring your skin stays hydrated all day. Thanks to this continuous hydration, hyaluronic acid helps your skin look firmer and more elastic, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Glycerin
Next, Glycerin is another key component. Although not explicitly mentioned in the ingredient list, it’s a common humectant in makeup due to its excellent moisturizing properties.
This ingredient attracts moisture from the environment and retains it in the skin, keeping it soft and supple, even in dry conditions. Additionally, it enhances the skin’s barrier function, protecting it from irritants and environmental damage. Essential for keeping your skin healthy and resilient all day long!
Vitamin E
Lastly, Vitamin E (seen here as Tocopherol) is a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals and pollution, helping to keep it healthy and youthful.
It also has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe the skin, reducing redness and irritation. Additionally, vitamin E keeps the skin hydrated and soft, improves its texture and tone, and helps even out skin tone by reducing scars and spots.
Now that you know a bit more, what do you think? Are you tempted to try this foundation?
