Hi, beauties! Today I’m going to be talking about my 2018 favorites again, but this time, it’s going to be all about skincare, bath, and hair. This is a different kind of top list because I wasn’t sure about the order — some products are more important or useful than others, however, I probably wouldn’t mention them in a top list because I tend to prioritize others. The idea is to give every sort of product a chance! Let’s get to the products, shall we?
Lightweight Hydrating Gel-Cream – Revolution Skincare
Definitely the best skincare product I’ve tried this year. I really loved the results and I’m going to restock it as soon as possible because I can’t live without it. It has a very liquidy texture, which makes it so easy and comfortable to apply and wear. It’s very lightweight and refreshes the skin while absorbing really fast, which is a must for me. It’s fragrance, oil, paraben, alcohol and gluten-free, as well as cruelty-free!
0.2% Retinol Fine Line Correcting Serum – Revolution Skincare
6,99€ | Vegan | Cruelty-free
Another Revolution Skincare product that I’ve enjoyed quite a lot! It does look and feel like it makes a difference. I noticed that my forehead lines were getting less noticeable, as well as the corner of the lips’. I’d even say it kind of had a “filling effect” that also smoothed the skin. And the best part is it didn’t take too long to start making changes, which is amazing!
Eye Cream – Swiss Clinic
45€ | 15ml | Cruelty-free |
I reviewed this product some time ago and I was very impressed by it. I do think it’s a little overpriced, but it’s totally worth it if you can afford it. Even when used every morning and night, it lasts a long while, and the results are undeniable. Swiss Clinic uses innovative technology and ingredients in their products and it shows. I do think it’s the best eye cream I’ve tried this year, and I’ve used plenty!

(A huge lot of) Sheet Masks – Vitamasques
Vitamasques is one of my favorite brands of the year, and the definite number one when it comes to masking products. That is because they’re cruelty-free, have tons of vegan-friendly products, and I find that the prices are pretty good for the quality (especially in Spain – I’ve found sets in Primor with 4 masks at around 5€). I always recommend them, and people get back to me with very positive reviews as well. I adore their Pomegranate Sheet Mask, which I’d probably repurchased more than 4 times before I got in touch with the brand and became a blogger for them.
I genuinely think this brand is excellent and deserves more recognition. Their Avocado Sleep In Mask and their Orange and Kiwi Slice Eye Masks are two of my favorites as well, and I still have a lot of masks that I bought myself and can’t wait to start trying!
Clay Face Masks – Fancy Handy
Fancy Handy is one of the best affordable Spanish brands for cosmetics. Their packaging is really cute and the overall results with their products are great. Their clay masks were a big yay from me last year. I use them every now and then and multi-mask with them. I love the green, yellow and pink ones especially — they work diferently, but managed to cover specific needs in my skin, which is great.
From what I’ve seen, they’re renewing the packaging and upped the price to 4,99€. Still, not bad at all!
*Are they vegan? Some of them aren’t vegan, though; they have ingredients such as beeswax in them.
Face Cleansing Foams – Fancy Handy
3,99€ – Cruelty-free
I liked these face cleansing foams quite a lot because they were gentle but nevertheless, worked. I appreciate that there’s a type for every skin concern too! They got rid of some of the greasiness that comes with combo skin, and helped a lot during the summer.
Bath and Body
Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub – Lush
I got this product from a friend for whom it didn’t work (the smell wasn’t her thing, and we all know Lush‘s fragrances can be very intense), but I really loved it myself. I didn’t mind the smell, I even liked it, and it seems to me like the main point, which is exfoliating, was great. It helped me open up the pores and get some in-grown hair out, which is what I was looking for.
Vanilla and Marshmallow Body Scrub – The Body Shop (Limited Edition)
$10.00 – 17,00€ | Cruelty-free | Vegan
Another body scrub that I absolutely loved! The smell is sweeter than Lush’s, and it has a similar result – but creamier. It leaves the skin feeling really soft and smelling like vanilla for the rest of the day. I always pair it with their classic Body Butters, which make for an incredible duo.
However, this product doesn’t seem to be available in online stores anymore, but it may be for a while in physical ones!
Gel Foam – Rituals
By the end of 2018, I found out that Rituals is apparently cruelty-free and I wanted to give them a try through the several magazines that featured them in Spain. One of the products I got to try was their gel foams, and I love them! I’m still finishing them, but I’ve fallen in love and plan to restock when I have to! Little goes a long way, especially if compared to other foam gels I’ve tried, and the smell goes for hours.
Fuji Green Tea Purifying Shampoo – The Body Shop
This was such a good discovery for me! I got the 250ml bottle for free as they were having an offer, and I was very, very impressed. Definitely want to repurchase it again, but little goes a long way and I still haven’t run out of it (which is another good thing). It helps to get rid of impurities in the hair, which I think helped with my oily hair as well. I mainly use it for the roots because I have really dry tips. I treat them with the next product…
Argan Serum – Kyrey
12,70€ | Cruelty-free
Sadly, this product is from a Spanish drugstore and I’m not sure you can get it anywhere else. However, it was a huge find for me last year, as it helped me rehydrate the tips of my hair, which were terribly dry and choppy. I use it after washing my hair and the results are great.
Namaste Dry Shampoo – Merci Handy
I’ve always hated dry shampoos. Whenever I used one -and they were my very last option-, I felt like my hair was even more greasy and dirty than normally. This one, however, was completely different to the ones I’d used before: it even added volume to my hair! I got to try it thanks to Birchbox, and I will surely repurchase when I’m done with this bottle.
So, these are my top skin, hair and body care picks! What are yours? Do you already have any potential favorites in 2019 already? I’m quite satisfied with everything I found in 2018, that I don’t know if I want to try new things and be disappointed!
